Warsaw Fest

Even though it was a Wash Out, I would like to thank everyone that helped with this year’s Warsaw Fest. The vendors that did show up seemed to be pleased and enjoyed their free coffee and donuts. The F.A.B. Band did show up Saturday night, however due to safety issues they decided not to play and have been rescheduled for November 12, 2005. If you know of a location to hold the dance please calll Renee Edwards or Tania Keyser. Once again the kids dance and the Baby and Beauty Pageant events were very successful. The kids dance had over 75 children attend and the Baby and Beauty Pageant packed the back-up location, Rappahannock Church of Christ with over 91 participants.

I felt that we had one of the hardest working committees ever and I appreciate everything that everyone has done over the last 11 months for Warsaw Fest. Some things you just can’t control and the weather is surely one of them!

 Sincerely,

Ronald Alderman

2005 Civic and Business Person of the year.

It’s that time again; do you have a favorite Civic or Businessperson? We will be sending nominee forms to all of the Chamber members.  We are currently running the  ad in the Northern Neck News. We are going to try something a little different this year and we need the members help.  Once all of the entries have been received we will send a list of the nominees and we are going to ask the Chamber members to choose the winners.  You will be allowed one vote per business. There will be more information to follow soon. The winners will be recognized at the Chamber Christmas Social. This year the Chamber members will be asked to vote on the nominees.
